Donnell Pond Canoe Trip
June thru mid October
If
you’re looking for a nice family adventure in “Down East” Maine (only a
half hours drive from Acadia National Park) this is it! Donnell Pond is
a deep crystal clear lake that is nestled in between six mountains. The
pond is dotted with many granite boulder islands and also a few nice sand
beaches that are waiting to be explored! We will paddle our canoes the
three miles to the southern end of the pond where we will find the
Schoodic Mountain Trail. We can hike the mile or so to the 1069-foot
summit and enjoy the breathtaking views from its bare rock peak. We will
have a lunch on the summit and then hike back to our canoes for the
three-mile paddle back to our starting point. This 5 hour guided
adventure includes all equipment and lunch on the summit. We can also skip the hike and just explore the lake and the beaches if you'd prefer.
Price is $280 for up to four people and $70 for each additional person
We also offer this guided trip as an overnight with either canoes or kayaks! This is a great overnight family adventure! All equipment and meals are included in the price!
Price for overnight $350 per person. (based on 4 person minimum)
