Moosehead Lake Canoe Trip

This relaxing family trip meets early in the morning at our Caratunk office. Then we will travel in our van about an hour to the launch site on beautiful Moosehead lake. Moosehead is Maine’s largest lake and is over 35 miles long. We will launch our canoes and arrive at our island camp site by mid day. Once the campsite has been set up we will spend the remainder of the afternoon exploring, fishing, swimming or just relaxing. A delicious meal will be prepared by your guide Steve over an open camp fire. On day two of this trip we can paddle over to Mount Kineo and hike up the trail to the fire tower at the summit. From the summit you can see cliffs that drop 760 feet to the lake below! The views are spectacular. After we have explored Kineo we will pack up and head home in the afternoon. Unless you have chosen to stay an additional night for another day of exploration, adventure and relaxing.

The cost of this adventure is $350.00 per person for two days or $500.00 per person for three days. All our adventures are based on four guests. If we have fewer than 4 the price will be billed for four people.
